La Vie Absurde is a triptych piece I created in my first college drawing class, when I was but wee young art student learning the ways of the art and design world. This piece was a hallmark piece for me because prior to to this, I ONLY drew photo realistic drawings of people and things in the world, traditional drawing techniques I learned and thrived with since elementary school. I remember this drawing class fondly, because the professor, JD McGuire, pushed me to think outside the box. My view of art changed in this drawing class because of his tutelage, experience and support, and allowed me to embrace the notion that art could be more than what I was used to.
